I am an Assistant Professor at the College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore . Prior to joining NTU, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the MURGe-Lab ( UNC-NLP Group ) at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill , working with Prof. Mohit Bansal . I received my Ph.D. degree from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) , advised by Prof. Sung Ju Hwang . I received my B.S. and M.S. degrees from Ulsan National Institute of Science and Technology (UNIST) .

I aim to build AI systems that live and learn in the real world by perceiving multimodal signals, interacting with complex environments, and continually evolving while remaining reliable, adaptive, and trustworthy. My research includes:

Multimodal Understanding
Embodied AI, Many-Modal Reasoning, Vision-Language-Action Reasoning, Long Video Understanding, Small and Large Multimodal Models, Multimodal Evaluation Benchmarks, etc.
Self-Evolving AI
Lifelong Learning, Open-Ended Learning, Multimodal Memory Systems, Model Editing and Skill Updating, Generative Policy Planning, Test-Time Training, etc.
Video Generation
Text/Image-to-Video Models, World Modeling, Multiview Video Synthesis, Long-Range Video Prediction, Physics-Informed Video Generation, etc.
Trustworthy AI
Hallucination Detection and Correction, Safety-Aware Image and Video Generation, Safety-Aware Planning, Explainable and Verifiable Reasoning, AIGC Safety and Quality Evaluation, etc.
Multi-Agent System
Coding Agents, Multi-Agent Reinforcement Learning, Role-Specialized Agent and AI Persona, Communication-Efficient Agent Collaboration, Multi-Agent Simulation Environments, etc.
