Openings

I am looking to hire multiple PhD students to join the Adaptive Machine Intelligence Lab at NTU Singapore, College of Computing and Data Science (CCDS), starting in Fall 2026.

Due to the volume of applications, I may not be able to respond to everyone individually. Thank you for your understanding.

Prospective PhD students

Fall 2026 intake

If you are interested in pursuing a PhD under my supervision, I typically expect applicants to have at least one first-authored paper at a top-tier conference in ML, AI, NLP, such as ICML, ICLR, NeurIPS, ICCV, ECCV, CVPR, EMNLP, ACL, or NAACL.

Applicants should also demonstrate a strong background in machine learning and deep learning. I am particularly interested in candidates who are excited about timely and impactful research in CV, NLP, and multimodal AI, including Continual Learning, Embodied AI, World Models, Coding Agents, Medical AI, and Trustworthy AI (not limited to these areas).

Prospective interns

We welcome applications from highly motivated undergraduate or master’s students looking for research internship experience. Ideal candidates have strong programming skills (Python, PyTorch) and solid ML, AI, CV, and/or NLP background.
